Apple vs Dell in price shootout

I always find myself defending my decision to purchase an Apple laptop when visiting friends or clients. Not that I care that I am light years ahead of them or anything, but I always find myself saying the same thing. After I connect to their network, access the internet and print to their windows printers they all start to say, “… hmmm OS X is pretty slick”. That is usually followed up with “… but they are expensive and I couldn’t afford one”. I usually explain that Apple doesn’t make “cheap” computers and if you compare apples to apples (no pun intended) they are about the same.
