It has been about 4 months since I tried running
Mozilla's latest offering of the open source browser. When I did I have to be honest, I didn't like it. Yeah it was pretty and had some good ideas but I didn't like it. Why, well for starters it was slow as heck!. Pages took forever to render and it crashed. However, today I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla for Linux and I have to say that at first glance I can notice a drastic improvment over this version than the previous one. For one thing when I imported my bookmarks it didn't crash. Pages load a lot faster and it seems to have increased the speed overall. If you have ever used Netscape 4.7? for Linux you are also aware of some of the other things that it is missing unlike the latest version of Mozilla. Here are a few nice add ons that the latest version of Mozilla has added:
- Password Manager - Save and store your password
- Better font management
- Themeable
- Side naviagtion bars (I turned them off but some folks like them)
- Option to save form data
These are just a few of the things that caught my eye off the bat and I know there are more. If you haven't downloaded Mozilla in awhile, give it another shot, it's only getting better!
