It is coming and I say about time. Imagine that by simply being in the sun you will be charging your cell phone or PDA. A German lab has come up with just this type of technology to allow users to throw away batteries for good in mobile phones and PDAs. Not a bad idea really. The technology is way to expensive for the mass market (as always) but within a few years who knows. You can read more about the article
