The online retailer Amazon states they were able to reduce technology cost by 25% after switching to the Linux operating system. I've often said the best thing that could happen to Linux is a recession. Companies will have to make adjustments in technolgy if there is no money to spend on Microsoft products. I am not sure how you spend $189 million dollars on technology but somehow they managed to spend that much in only 9 months of this year alone. For more information read the article on
