Time to patch that Linux kernel

There appears to be a bug in the 2.4-14 - 2.4-18pre9 Linux kernel which allows someone to compromise a Linux system. The hole is in the Netfilter package which is part of the kernel. Redhat has released a patch for its systems here. The original release about the problem can be found here
