If you haven’t read or heard about the CodeRed virus that affected Microsoft IIS servers this past week I have no idea what you do with your free time. Word about this virus spreading around is everywhere. The only good thing that is coming out of this is some companies are realizing they cannot afford to rest their company’s information on Microsoft products.

The fifth anual Webby Awards will be held July 18th. The nominees are in. Some of the usual web places are in the list but a lot of unheard ofs made the list as well. I am not sure how they are judging some of the categories but in my opinion they need to get a clue. Oh, they are not broadcasting it on TV (TechTV should pick up on this) but you can watch it via the web or shell out the $175.00 to attend the event live in San Francisco.
Imagine the possibilties if you could simply plug your laptop into a wall socket anywhere and be on the network! This technology is here now and will soon be spreading accross the nation by storm.
