I was crusing the net today and crusing by sites that I haven’t visited in awhile trying to catch up on some industry news. During my surfing I was trying to locate which manufacturers have started to adopt the new nVidia Geforce2 Go chipset in there laptops. As usual I decided to go over to Google to do my search. So, I quickly typed in what I thought was “google” and pressed enter. I was immediately greeted with a “GoTo” web page. I quickly realized that I typed in “gogle“. That got me to thinking…..I wonder if I should register all of the mispells of ZorKa. Here are the ones I came up with:
zokra
zoka
zora
zkra
zork
zora
zorak
zroka
ozrka
okra
If there are any I missed, please let me know.

Today Zorka got on TechTv (channel 67 in Ann Arbor). I wasn’t actually pictured but my quote made it on. I only got the very first part of it because I couldn’t get to the avi quick enough in xawtv. Here is the snap shot of my TechTV debute. I only got my last name on the left side, and then the start of my quote, but at least that is proof.

For awhile now, I have been wanting to find a really nice chat program that does voice. A lot of people now have static high speed connections to the Internet so it wouldn’t be that hard really for us to save a little on our phone bills. The problem is that there are some nice chat programs but mostly for Windows. I bumped into this program today and found that it runs on both Windows and Linux platforms, Speak Freely. There is a TCL front end for the program so be sure to download that as well. One of the cool features of Speak Freely is the capability to encrypt your messages using PGP or other known methods. Now that is what I call an open source twist to chatting.

That is right. If you happen to miss out on the .com domain craze, then be sure to get your .WS version of it then. The WS stands for WEB SITE. You can register your new domain here. Be sure to save yours before someone else gets it!

In an effort to assist our class reunion coming up, I registered RipleyHigh.Com. This site will be used to coordinate the class reunion of ’90 for Ripley High School as well as future class reunions of Ripley High. I hope to incorporate other ideas into the site instead of reunion material but don’t know which direction I want to take at this time. Two of my classmates, Angie and Donald have been working on the site so I don’t take any of the credit for what is there, just hosting it.
