It seems that Compaq is trying to bring a little more redunacy to Linux through SteelEye’s clustering software. Some of you may know that clustering technology is already available for Linux however the different is that SteelEye’s software extends the failover capabilities from one machine to another. This is great for those companies looking at high end web and database servers. It is also kinda bad for companies like Sun Microsystems who are currently striving in this type of business. It is a about time that Compaq steps up and makes some noise as IBM has been stealing all of the thunder lately.

Well if you don’t know about Slashdot, we forgive you but you HAVE to start going there once a day (after you visit us of course). Slashdot is an online news forum for pretty much computer geeks. Anyway, today I had an article that I submitted get posted and for some reason in my hurry to submit the post and leave for the office I had a typo in the subject, Hemos I apologize for you taking all of the heat on the replies, my bad. I took a screen shot after Moonkhan emailed me the news.

“I have to say that I wasn’t as hyped about the Super Bowl this year as I normally am. However, I did catch all of the ommercials. Here is how we ranked the commercials:
1st Place – Budweiser commercial with the dog who was an alien
2nd Place – Budweiser commercial where the yuppy white guys called each other on a “What’s up!” parady

It was a big night this past week in Ann Arbor when this past Thursday evening Eric Raymond, the gentlemen who’s paper “The Cathedral and the Bazaare” caused Netscape to open source their browswer, gave his speech at the University of Michigan Union. I was crusing the net today and crusing by sites that I haven’t visited in awhile trying to catch up on some industry news. During my surfing I was trying to locate which manufacturers have started to adopt the new nVidia Geforce2 Go chipset in there laptops. As usual I decided to go over to Google to do my search. So, I quickly typed in what I thought was “google” and pressed enter. I was immediately greeted with a “GoTo” web page. I quickly realized that I typed in “gogle“. That got me to thinking…..I wonder if I should register all of the mispells of ZorKa. Here are the ones I came up with:
