New Dual AMD system by Boxx Technology

If you are a game developer or work in the movie industry you may be familiar with BoxxTech. If not that is OK. Boxx builds high end dual processor machines for these types of industries. They recently announced a new system, 3DBOXX R1 Series Of Workstations Based On AMD Athlon Processors. It is based on a 1.4GHz AMD Athlon CPU and is running dual processors. The article was first released here. Pricing on the unit starts at $3200.00, which isn’t bad considering all you get. Basically they are packing the box full of goodies. As yes, it will play Quake! Another thing touted about the machine is they also configure it for Linux as well. If you are in the market for a new high end Linux workstation you will have to wait until sometime in June when it is released.

I imagine by June there will be other vendors sporting dual Athlons as well but this is one of the first companies I have seen already making plans to use the technology.
