It seems former CEO of MP3.Com, Michael Robertson, believes his new product is going to change the face of computing. His idea is to build a combination OS of Linux and Windows called Lindows.

Another Bad Idea

Before you start jumping up and down you should check out the Lindows web site. There is nothing there! They do not have a product, a business model or anything at this point. It is simply another bad idea which gets funding. Other companies have gone before them and failed and this effort will be no different. Companies like this give the rest of us hope that any hair brain idea can make it to market. Wired is carrying the full story with quotes from what Robert is trying to accomplish.
