I received an email today that the online company Flooz.Com has filed for bankruptcy as of August 31st, 2001. The email didn’t state whether or not they are completely shutting down but that is usually the case when members or subscribers get this type of alert. Read more for the details.

I recently acquired a GeForce 3 nVidia card by VisionTek and got it working under Debian Linux. Read more for the details!
Although the latest version of Mandrake 8.1 is available for download the company is having trouble manufacturing the product and getting it to market as quickly as they wanted. Co-workers recently installed 8.1 and the new product looks promising.
Evolution not ready for prime time

I spent the better part of today trying to get Evolution, the up and coming contact manager/email client for Linux, to work with my Palm as well as test its contact manager skills. Does it work? Almost. Could it be better? Yes.
I am not sure if there is anything to this or not, maybe just a coincidence but I received this from Rob and from Matt today. Basically just do what it says and see if it freaks you out. Then call Microsoft to file a complaint.
1. Go into Microsoft Word.
2. Type in all caps: NYC
3. Make the font size 48
4. Change the font to webdings and read what it says
5. Then change the font again, this time to ‘Wingdings’ – now it’s scary.
