I was fortunate enough this Christmas season to be given an extremely cool geek gift, a Tivo. I figured I would play with it for a week or so before posting something to the site about it. The online retailer Amazon states they were able to reduce technology cost by 25% after switching to the Linux operating system. I’ve often said the best thing that could happen to Linux is a recession. Companies will have to make adjustments in technolgy if there is no money to spend on Microsoft products.
