I received a phone call from Community Connect, the creators of Black Planet and other online commmunity sites (very big sites with lots of users) yesterday asking me if I knew any PHP developers looking for a job. That is an understatement right? I cannot even go to the grocery store without someone asking me if I will get them a job or know of anyone hiring for PHP. Anyway, before I get into a “why you shouldn’t pickup a PHP book and read two online tutorials and go around thinking you are a PHP developer” session, check out these 2 jobs which are available in the New York Manhattan area. If you are out of work and want to relocate this is a GREAT opportunity.

Google has released some of their new technology coming from their google lab to the public for us to play with. The keyboard shortcut is the coolest and most useful one out of the bunch. Check out their stuff at: http://labs.google.com

Blackberry, the always on email PDA and phone combination offered by AT&T and Voicestream was released recently. We haven’t had a geek toy posted to the site in quite sometime, mainly because their haven’t been any worthy of writing about. Check out our review before you consider purchasing one of these. Who knows, we may just change your mind. 

I haven’t posted much news to the site lately and I apologize. I am working on some new howtos (such as this one) and some new PHP tutorials for you guys.

In my spare time I did manage to get my Handspring Visor to work with Evolution (the outlook replacement for Linux). I’ll post a full howto later on but here is the “raw” details of how to get it going.

I haven’t posted any game related stuff to the site for quite sometime, mostly because I haven’t had time to post anything due to the classes I am teaching and work. My taxes were done this past week and due to the large amount of money we owed I had to do something to lift my spirits, I bought a new game.
